Diploma Thesis"New Business Fields for Life Cycle Units"At the Technical University of Berlin - division for assembly and plant running - exists a research project on Life Cycle Units (LCU). These LCU's are systems, which prolongate product lifetime and make disassembly easier by recording and using product data during life cycle. The aim of this work is, to discover new business fields for this LCU, particularly in other fields than disassembly. This task will be done by using a methodology for product innovation. An analysis points out the constraints for the later product: the structural and technological evolution and their effects. Three areas are defined to search for product ideas: the LCU used as standardized component, a concept for connecting household appliances with the internet and a concept to connect cars to the internet. In these search areas are found eleven product ideas, which are suitable to be realized by a start up company. At example there are: a competence center for LCU, an internet connected coffee maker, a remote maintenance service, an information broker and car homepages. An der Technischen Universität Berlin wird im Bereich Montagetechnik und Fabrikbetrieb an sogenannten Life Cycle Units geforscht -
Systemen, die durch Erfassung und Nutzung von Produktdaten die Lebensdauer eines Produktes erhöhen und die Demontage vereinfachen.

The computer program brumsak06 for calculating failure probability of ceramic is a extension to version brumsak04. brumsak04 calculates the fast failure probability based on the stress output of the finite elements stress analysis program ANSYS. It includes the PIA-theory (Principle of Independent Action) for surface and volume flaw based reliability analysis. Das Programm brumsak06 zur Berechnung der Bruchwahrscheinlichkeit von Keramik ist eine Erweiterung der Version brumsak04. brumsak04 berechnet die Ausfallwahrscheinlichkeit für Kurzzeitbelastung, ausgehend von einer Spannungsanalyse durch das FEM-Programm ANSYS für Volumen- und Oberflächenfehler. Dabei wird das Berechnungsmodell "Principle of Independent Action" genutzt. |
